MEET "THE DROIDS"
Android-18 is a five piece Pop Punk band from the Philippines. Having around the local underground music scene since 2011, the band consists of Gela Quevedo, Niokz Arcega, Kokoy Quevedo, Makoi Mendoza & Ian Moral.
All children of the 90’s, this passionate and quirky, fun loving band promises to capture the fervor of avid pop punk listeners with its catchy and remarkable conversational lyrics added with a dose of its energetic and wild live performances. They have already released their first EP album Four Track Attack (2011), first full length album Saves the Day (2015) and latest album, Unloved + Space (2019).
The band is also starting to amplify their name on the airwaves as they won in Indie Rock Awards last 2015 as “Best Live Act”. In 2012, Gela Quevedo was accepted into the Philippines’ highly esteemed Elements National Music Camp where she was mentored by the likes of Ryan Cayabyab, Joey Ayala and Noel Cabangon among others. They are also featured as the opening act in Ely Buendia’s Greatest Hits Concert Live in Antipolo and joined several bands on shows including Sandwich, Chicosci, Spongecola, Mayonnaise, Banda ni Kleggy and more.
Android-18 has been playing with words and experimenting new sounds which brought us the new record, Unloved + Space, which consists of 10 new songs that will surely empower its listeners to participate in the frenzy.
